We are seeking individuals at the Consultant to Director level to join our Data & Analytic and Data Governance divisions, with the below skillsets.

Strategy, Growth & Digital

  • Data Scientist: Using Data Science techniques and Machine Learning skills over Big Data
  • Data Engineer: Engineering modern data solutions or pipelines to facilitate advanced analytics, visualisation & interactive data applications
  • Data Analyst: Analysing and business consulting with data – using relational databases (SQL), data workbench & visualisation tools for project delivery, applying business logic and interpreting results
  • Data Management Specialist: strong understanding of data management principles and how to apply them including knowledge of models such as DCAM, DMBOK, regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239, CPG 235 and principles and practices of data quality, lineage, master / reference data management

Operational Improvement & Value Creation

  • Knowledge and/or experience in technology enabled transformation programs (e.g. EAM or ERP
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce/Finance or Data Science or related discipline;
  • Relevant experience in a consulting related discipline at a Big 4 firm, major strategy firm, or boutique firm; ideally within a deals environment
  • Experience in at least one of the following consulting areas:
    • Transaction and business due diligence;
    • Operational and performance improvement;
    • Strategic growth; or,
    • Other relevant strategy experience.
  • Experience in data analysis and understanding of core business and financial processes.
  • Strong business acumen, with analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology, risk governance, and organisational design.

Technology, Data & Innovation

  • Be a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have a questioning mind and lots of bright ideas
  • Be comfortable with manipulating and combining large, high dimensional datasets from multiple sources
  • Have previous experience working with large data sets in a transaction
  • Have an ability to interpret findings and identify key insights to communicate to a non-technical audience
  • Have demonstrated experience building relationships with internal and/or external clients
  • Be passionate about delivering high quality work

Forensic Data

  • Experience as a data analytics consultant, data analyst, SQL developer, business intelligence developer, technical business analyst, data engineer, data modeller or related role.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience (or interest in learning) one of the following technologies highly desirable: Python, SAS, VBA, Dataiku, HIVE.
  • Tertiary qualifications in mix of business (e.g. finance, accounting, law) and technical disciplines (e.g. engineering, IT, computing) desirable but not mandatory.
  • Be a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and have an ability to interpret findings and identify key insights to communicate to a non-technical audience.

Risk Assurance Data and Digital Deployment

  • Experienced in use of Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, and or, other analytic tools or coding languages beneficial (but not mandatory). E.g. Celonis, Qlik, R, etc.
  • Highly organised with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Be a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be comfortable with manipulating and combining large, high dimensional datasets from multiple sources
  • Have an ability to interpret findings and identify key insights to communicate to a non-technical audience
  • Tertiary qualification(s), preferably:
    • Commerce
    • Economics
    • Mathematics/Statistics
    • Data science
    • Engineering

Audit Data & Analytics Hub

  • Have experience in developing data analytics solutions leveraging BI and Visualisation platforms, such as PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Experienced in use of Alteryx, SQL, Python, and or, other analytic tools or coding.
  • Hold a graduate degree and a strong background in auditing or accounting and data analytics or technology with relevant experience gained in a Professional Services or major financial institution environment or similar
  • A commercial and analytical mindset with complex problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and present your ideas with impact to clients and other key stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and lots of energy and drive
  • Knowledge of KPMG’s bespoke tools for audit or D&A preferred, including KPMG Clara workflow, data workbench, Advanced Capabilities or analytics

Transaction Services Data

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce/Finance or Data Science or related discipline;
  • Experience in data analysis and understanding of core business and financial processes;
  • Have had experience with relational databases (SQL), data workbench & visualisation tools (Tableau / Power BI) for project delivery, applying business logic and interpreting results. As well as, working knowledge of VBA, Python, Alteryx etc.
  • The ability to build robust relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • A desire to contribute to team success along with a motivated and dedicated work ethic.
